A Look at Coraid’s Ethernet SAN Technology: No Flash in the Pan

These days, it can prove downright daunting to keep pace with the constant strides storage vendors are making in the industry. This is especially true when it comes to flash storage, a technology that has not only emerged as a major disruptor but also spawned an array of products – many of which add unnecessary complexity to enterprise-level storage environments.
Enter Coraid, which has upgraded its EtherDrive Ethernet SAN platform to support an all-flash configuration called EtherFlash. Ethernet SAN solutions developer Coraid Inc has acquired Yunteq Inc, a provider of cloud orchestration software for public and private clouds, the company said today.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Redwood City-based Coraid develops EtherDrive storage technologies and has more than 1,400 customers. Yunteq's technology is expected to complement Coraid's Ethernet storage area network architecture.
