Coraid Announces ANZ Expansion Strategy

Growth in Local Demand Leads to Increased Focus on Region and Appointment of Local Country Manager

Sydney, AU — Coraid® Inc., a leading developer of Ethernet SAN solutions with more than 1,500 customers worldwide, today announced increased investment in resources in Australia and New Zealand. The vendor currently counts over 25 customers in these countries and has sold in over 45 countries worldwide. With a recent $50M investment to fund international expansion and with user and partner interest in Coraid growing rapidly, the company decided to formalize its efforts by appointing Jason Martin to the position of ANZ Country Manager.

Coraid EtherDrive® storage products provide organisations of all sizes with a flexible tier of high-performance Ethernet-based storage. This consists of a new architecture that delivers scale-out performance, simplicity, and a 5-8x price-performance advantage over legacy storage, an attractive combination for customers looking for a shared storage solution in any geography.

“We already have many satisfied customers in ANZ today including managed services providers, universities, national and local government agencies, and large multinationals,” said Jason Martin, ANZ Country Manager at Coraid. “With the rapid growth in data pressuring budgets and with virtualization and cloud architectures straining legacy storage networks, these customers are looking for more scalable, high-performance, and economical solutions.”

Jason Martin joins Coraid after founding a technology distribution company in Australia and New Zealand.  Previously, Jason served as the Vice President of Worldwide Services at VMware from 2001 to 2009, helping the company grow to over $1.9B while developing key technical and channel programs such as the widely adopted VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification and the VMware Authorized Consultant (VAC) program.

Coraid solutions are targeted at mid-range and Global 2000 organisations, government agencies, universities and MSPs, supporting use cases including virtualization, cloud services, high-performance computing, and video environments.
